Katie Cabanas
Founder
Katie Cabanas founded Cabanas Consulting to solve a problem she saw repeatedly at the highest levels of leadership:
Strong organizations.
Ambitious goals.
Unclear strategy.
With an undergraduate degree in Communications and an MBA, Katie built her career at the intersection of brand, business, and execution. Early on at leading global PR firm Golin, she advised U.S. and international clients — specializing in U.S. Hispanic markets and crisis management — sharpening her ability to navigate complex communications with precision.
She went on to lead brand, marketing, and fundraising initiatives for AT&T, Coca-Cola, the University of Miami, and A-ROD CORP. Across every role, she noticed the same pattern: teams were working hard — but brand and business strategy weren’t aligned. Marketing was active, but not always effective. Growth felt unpredictable.
The issue wasn’t effort.
It was alignment.
As Vice President of Operations at A-ROD CORP., Katie led national branding, marketing, and philanthropic strategy, partnering with Major League Baseball and the New York Yankees. At the University of Miami, she helped advance a $1.6 billion campaign by aligning institutional priorities with donor strategy and growth.
Time and again, she saw the same truth:
When brand strategy and business strategy align, momentum follows.
Today, Katie works alongside executive leaders and nonprofit organizations to bring clarity to complex ideas — and turn strategy into action. Fluent in Spanish and experienced across domestic and international markets, she helps organizations communicate with precision across cultures and stakeholders.
Because growth shouldn’t be accidental.
It should be intentional.
